While many of the treatments at The Rejuva Center at Williams focus primarily on skin conditions and concerns associated with the aging process, those same treatments can be used to effectively manage issues that are caused by things you can’t control – like genetic conditions or injuries. Below are some of the more common problems our patients turn to us to help them address, as well as information on the treatments we offer to ensure that you leave our care looking and feeling as confident and beautiful on the outside as you do on the inside.

Rosacea and Redness

A chronic skin disorder that typically begins after the age of 30, rosacea causes redness across the cheeks, nose, forehead and chin. Despite years of research, doctors are unsure what exactly causes rosacea, but they do know that while it can affect anyone, it is more prevalent in women, and those with fair skin. It can be an embarrassing skin concern to deal with, but it is also a common one – nearly 16 million Americans suffer from rosacea and the associated symptoms.

Rosacea is characterized by redness, flushing, visible red capillaries and small pimples. Over time, your skin may thicken and become ruddier, and if your rosacea is left untreated, can lead to rhinophyma, a condition where the nose becomes chronically swollen, bumpy and enlarged due to excess tissue. Other complications include eye issues, facial swelling and persistent dry skin.

At The Rejuva Center at Williams, we are sensitive to the fact that the unpredictable flare-ups that come with rosacea can be a frustrating problem. That’s why we offer several treatments that can help keep symptoms at bay, so that you can enjoy clear skin more often and prevent your rosacea from worsening over time. The elos Plus intense pulsed light/radiofrequency treatment or V-Beam pulsed dye laser are noninvasive ways to address the redness associated with rosacea, and we can also determine if a topical treatment or medical-grade skin care regimen will help diminish your rosacea symptoms.

The redness and flushing associated with rosacea comes and goes, and can be triggered or aggravated as a result of several contributing factors that increase blood flow to the skin’s surface, including:

  • Exercise
  • Spicy food
  • Caffeine and alcohol
  • Extreme temperatures
  • Sun or wind exposure
  • Skin products that cause irritation
  • Certain medications that dilate blood vessels

Acne Scarring and Red Spots

Acne is something that nearly everyone has dealt with at some point in their life. You may have struggled with acne as a teen, or currently deal with hormonal or adult acne. No matter how gentle you are when caring for your acne, once it’s cleared up, there are bound to be marks left behind. In some cases, small red spots remain, while in more severe cases, scars or pitting may be daily reminders of your acne flare-ups. And, as you age, acne scars tend to become more noticeable because of the diminishing collagen in your skin.

The good news is that you don’t have to accept acne scars as a permanent feature on your face. At The Rejuva Center at Williams, we offer a variety of treatments designed to address your specific type of acne scars, leaving you with the smoother, more even skin you’ve always wanted. Resurfacing treatments such as chemical peels or elos Plus Sublative treatments can address more shallow scars, while injectable fillers and microneedling can help to fill in deeper scars. Whatever your concern, one of our expert staff will work with you to determine the best course of treatment to deliver the gorgeous results you desire.

Spider Veins

Spider veins are tiny dilated blood vessels close to the surface of your skin that are most commonly found on the legs and face. While the appearance of spider veins can be embarrassing and unsightly, at The Rejuva Center at Williams, we offer the elos Plus IPL/RF treatment, as well as the V-Beam pulsed dye laser, both of which can help reduce or eliminate the appearance of spider veins on your face and legs.

Medically known as telangiectasia, spider veins aren’t typically a sign of poor health, but rather a result of several other factors, including:

  • Genetic predisposition
  • Thinning skin and reduced functionality of blood vessels due to age
  • Sun damage
  • Rosacea

Everyone has experienced an injury or trauma to their skin that resulted in a scar. Scars are the body’s way of remodeling and healing after an injury, so not only are they common, they’re completely unavoidable. However, the way in which you scar can depend on several factors, such as age, gender, ethnicity and of course, the depth and severity of the injury. Most scars are flat, and while they may be red at first, they will usually fade a bit over time. If you have scars on your face or body that are causing you to be self-conscious, The Rejuva Center at Williams has the answer. We offer treatments designed to diminish the visibility of the scar, including fillers and microneedling for deep scars, as well as elos Plus Sublative treatments and chemical peels to resurface scars. One of our highly trained and experienced staff will work with you to discover the optimal treatment for your scar concerns.
