Question:
I recently switched from Botox to Restylane. I feel that the results are not lasting as long as they did with Botox. With Restylane it seems that it wears off around four-five months, where the Botox seemed to last a full six months. Is there a difference in the time they last or is just that my body is not adjusting to Restylane as well?
Answer:
Botox and Restylane are not used inter-changeably. Botox decreases muscle activity and Restylane is a hyaluronic acid that replaces volume loss and fills lines. Botox usually lasts three-four months and Restylane generally lasts six-nine months.
