Question:
What sort of results can you expect from laser skin resurfacing?
Answer:
Laser resurfacing using the carbon dioxide laser is the most effective way to resurface deep wrinkled sun-damaged skin and is and has been considered the gold standard for skin resurfacing for 15 years. The downside to laser resurfacing is that it does have a significant recovery period, so at this point we recommend it less frequently for the average patient. However, for the patient looking for the most effective results with deep wrinkling or scarring, the carbon dioxide laser continues to be the most effective way to resurface skin.
