How

Juvéderm

Works

JUVÉDERM® fillers use cross-linked hyaluronic acid—a water-loving molecule naturally found in skin—to restore volume, contour, and smooth creases. Your provider maps facial proportions and movement, then places small amounts using a fine needle or cannula for natural contours and expression.

Risks and Side
Effects of

Juvéderm

Most people experience mild, temporary swelling, redness, tenderness, or small bruises at injection sites for 1–7 days (lips may swell more for 24–72 hours). Less commonly, small lumps/unevenness or delayed swelling can occur; cold sores may flare if you’re prone. Rare but urgent: severe or worsening pain, blanching/dusky skin, coolness, or vision changes—seek immediate care and contact our office right away. Your provider will review your medical history and medications to minimize risks.
