Answer:
Estriol is the third type of estrogen that women possess. The first type is Estrone or E1, the second type is Estradiol or E2 and the third type is Estriol or E3. Estriol is 80 times weaker than Estradiol so it is a weak estrogen. Its main purpose is protective. When we combine it with the stronger Estradiol, we can tend to be able to use a lower dose and the weaker Estriol has been shown to be helpful in prevention of breast cancer. It can fill empty estrogen receptors in the body and prevent bad estrogens or zenoestrogens from binding. Estriol used topically vaginally can also be an excellent treatment for vaginal dryness.
