Question:
I have vertical wrinkles around my mouth, mostly on my upper lip. I have smoked all my life and now I am seeing the results of this habit. These wrinkles look really bad when I use lipstick. What injectable filler do you recommend for my lips and how long do these last?
Answer:
Treatment for this area is a two-fold process. First, Botox to decrease the muscle activity which causes the wrinkles and then a filler, such as Juvederm, to fill the hollows and wrinkles. Juvederm usually lasts one year as long as you keep up with the Botox to decrease the activity.
